Jet lagged city photography.

Disclaimer = I wrote this once and had my screen freeze and lost everything. Technology! Curses! Here we go folks! My Vancouver adventure starts. Level 1. Begin!

Yesterday Rob drove me to Toronto airport which I really appreciate. I need to stop relying on him so much for those long trips. Before heading out we dropped my car off at an old sailing buddies place and I'm very grateful to him that he is watching it for me while I travel. I have great friends!

If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw me sitting on an empty looking plane with hipster hair. I only had one day in Barrie before flying to Vancouver and top of my list was getting a hair cut from @thebutcherturnedbarber. Phil at Maverick's in the Georgian mall is great. You should follow his Instagram even if you aren't in his neck of the woods just because he is a great guy! Anyways, I had the best seat on the plane. First row of economy class aisle seat. Loved it. Easy flight, to Vancouver watching the Hateful Eight. I love Tarantino movies! Anyways, I digress.

Landing, I grabbed my bags and waited in the Taxi lineup where some bold middle aged bimbo stole my cab. The crowd and I had a good laugh. I hope she breaks a heel. Haha

I had a great drive in to the apartment suite in Yaletown. Heart of Vancouver. I'm stunned by the area here. It has everything. Energy to the city here. Wonderful guy at the front ran me through a lot of the stuff going on in the city and started setting me up with recommendations of where to go for photos.

I didn't even unpack my bags. I explored my awesome suite, checked out the rooftop pool and the gym then ran off to take photos. Mostly it was of buildings and the view I had from the seawall. I forgot to grab groceries so I'm slightly starved writing this! Now I'm going to run today on my 22nd hour in Vancouver and check out some coffee shop called JJ Beans and then head to find groceries after that.

That's enough chit chat. Here are some photos. I need caffine!

Stay tuned for Level 2 Vancouver. Lets see how many posts I can make about this incredible city!

Cheers,

PS: I think it is time I print business cards and look at getting a client or two in the near future. Use the Tamron 70-200mm G2 f2.8 and see what I can come up with on the hip west coast!
