I finally get to indulge some of my geek! Yesterday I ran out to the Anime convention in Vancouver called Anime Revolution. Knowing anime fans and the excitement of Vancouver I was pretty confident that I would have a few excellent opportunities to snap some photos.
I was right!
What an incredible time! Expensive but incredible! I ended up buying a lanyard to wear at work and I bought myself a wicked T-Shirt that has nothing to do with anime unfortunately.
I should tell you all that one of my all time favorite anime is called "Your lie in April" and I saw a young girl dressed up as the main character. What is really cool is that this anime is entirely centered around music and this young girl had the same instrument as the main character and she was playing the same song as what she plays in the show when she bumps into a boy at the park! Here is a link to the English trailer for the show which you can watch on Crunchyroll. If you do watch it I recommend subtitled even though this is some of the best english voice acting in Anime ever!
I went to an Anime swimsuit contest towards the end of the day and unfortunately I can't show you those photos. Two reasons, adult content and none of them turned out! My old ancient Nikon D5100 is abysmal for me in low light conditions. Once I hit ISO400 I start to really lose the photos and in the main hall of the convention I was down around ISO800. Hilarious contests were put on and it was very adult rated content! Odd at times but well worth the visit!
Enough chatter, next entry will be a few firework photos I took after the Anime Revolution convention. Here is a link to Anime Revolution in case you'd like to look into the event and follow them for info on their next event.
PS: The biggest buzz I saw this year was for Darling in the Franxx! Awesomesauce!
